News
The European Parliament submitted an oral question to the European Commission on its commitment to reducing and replacing the use of animals in science since the number of animals used for scientific purposes has not decreased significantly in decades. How will the Commission ensure that future actions are in line with its commitment, especially in the light of present opportunities such as Next Generation EU and the new Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability?

The latest statistics released by the Commission reveal only a slight decrease in the number of animals used for scientific purposes.
