These images were filmed between February and May 2019 in the Sourches experimental station belonging to the agro-industrial group Avril, located in the town of Saint-Symphorien, in the Sarthe region.

The pictures show cows with portholes. Their stomach was punctured with a 15 cm diameter hole to study their digestion. They are forced to live trapped in a building with concrete floors, without straw, from their own excrement.
In another building, chickens can no longer stand on their feet due to the ever faster growth of their muscles.

Pigs, rabbits and chicks are kept in empty cages while young calves are locked in individual huts with opaque walls.

Symptomatic of the way we consider animals: simple machines at our disposal.
