Several Spanish animal protection organisations sent a letter calling on Carrefour Spain to stop exhibiting wild animals in their stores.

On November 8 and 9, 2019 at the Carrefour of San Juan Aznalfarache (Seville), the Mundo Park Zoo organized an exhibition of wild animals. On this occasion, reptiles, night birds and other specimens had to remain in the mall from 12h to 21h on Friday and from 11am to 9pm on Saturday. The facilities that were built for them did not meet the minimum requirements for the species housed, neither offered them the possibility of hiding and resting.

Back in November, together with other NGOs, our member organisation FAADA wrote a letter addressed to Carrefour Spain and the company finally confirmed that they will no longer organise such activities.
