#Act4 FarmAnimals For about 35 years, blood has been taken from pregnant mares in Uruguay and Argentina to extract the hormone PMSG, also called eCG. The hormone is used in industrial animal breeding in Europe to stimulate and synchronize the oestrus of pigs, sheep and other farm animals to help encourage greater production of livestock.
