Use of antibiotics for fish in Denmark has doubled in a year

It's probably due to a hot summer and a bad vaccine.

In 2018, Danish aquaculture and aquaculture used 3.6 tonnes of antibiotics.

The year before, consumption was less than half that.It shows figures that the Danish State Serum Institute and DTU Food Institute have calculated in a new report. When a lot of antibiotics are used, the risk of developing resistance increases - that is, the medicine no longer works. Therefore, a lot has been done for several years to reduce the consumption of antibiotics for Danish livestock. And for almost all types of livestock - from pigs to poultry and mink - consumption declined from 2017 to 2018.
