Pet food giant Nestlé Purina is donating more than two million meals across international boundaries to ensure pets aren’t overlooked during the coronavirus pandemic.

Through partnerships with animal welfare organisations across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa (EMENA countries) the pet meals will be donated to organisations and individuals in need due to covid-19.

Those to benefit will include animal shelters and pet welfare organisations, including some initiatives specific to individual countries, such as helping elderly people in isolation in Russia with free dog-walking services.

In the UK, Purina will be working with Cats Protection and Canine Partners.

The company is continuing to focus on securing global pet food supplies to the millions of pets in EMENA and safeguarding its employee´s safety and wellbeing.

It is also offering advice and support to communities and pet owners so they can benefit even more from the positive power of the pet-human bond during these extraordinary times.
