Dairy cows in agony and left to die, mass graves, gruesome hygienic-sanitary conditions with sick cattle, among excrements, infested with worms, and milk collection tanks invaded by cockroaches: it happens in civilized Italy, not in the Middle Ages but in these days , in the Cremona area.

This is the horror confirmed by a blitz by the Brescia Forest Police, following our complaint.
For the cattle, the seizure was ordered (evidentiary for 21 animals, sanitary arrest for the remaining 400 or so) and the entrustment to the Mayor of Robecco d'Oglio (Cremona) where the breeding is located. Among the hypotheses of crime, mistreatment (544 ter C.p.) and the abandonment of animals (727 C.p.)

“We ask the new Minister of Health Roberto Speranza for the urgent convening of a State-Regions Conference to examine the situation of the farms region by region, an extraordinary control plan, and the provision of transparency mechanisms on the controls carried out by the veterinary services of the ASL as an annual report, with a punctual and periodic communication to the public of the results of the survey, in order to show the activities of protecting the well-being and public health of citizens, thus strengthening the tool of the National Animal Welfare Plan of your Ministry, today no longer in step with the needs of citizens and consumers ". This is what was stated by LAV Vice-President Roberto Bennati.
