Norway: salmon producers respond to lice and waste crises with more intensive cage systems

Norwegian company has been awarded a grant under Innovation Norway’s Environmental Technology program of MNOK 10 to develop, pilot and test a closed cage for fish farming.
Norwegian fish farming industry is facing a lice and waste problems crisis. Salmon producers from Norway are trying to respond to these problems by going even more intensive and by developing more intensive cage systems.
