The coronavirus forced Mercosur and the European Union (EU) to suspend a meeting scheduled for April to advance the legal review of the free trade agreement, which must be concluded for parliaments to allow it to enter into force.

The meeting was to be held in Brussels next month, but strict measures taken by the national government and by the authorities of Europe - now the epicenter of the pandemic - forced to reschedule the meetings of the technical teams. There is no new date yet.
