The pigs were sent to china to repopulate the Chinese herd decimated by African swine fever.
Last Tuesday and Wednesday, Brest airport welcomed rather unusual passengers: 2,000 breeding pigs boarded two 747 Cargo ships bound for China, 1,000 animals on each plane. Cost of the trip: more than two million euros.
