On Tuesday 20 November the premiere of the new film “A dog’s life – The homeless dogs of Romania” will be held at the European Parliament in Brussels (19h). The event is hosted by MEP Stefan Eck and co-organised by the Intergroup for the Welfare and Conservation of Animals and Eurogroup for Animals.

“A Dog’s Life, Romania”, directed by Maria Slough, will accompany you on the journey that brought British actor and animal advocate, Peter Egan and veterinary surgeon Roger Bralow to meet the stray dogs of Romania. The 30 minute film is the second in a series of documentaries uncovering the plight of dogs in Eastern Europe.

The screening is followed by an expert panel that will explore the possible avenues to tackle the stray dog issues in Romania and other European countries and call for EU guidance on humane stray pet population management.
