News
The French Ministries of Agriculture, Health and Ecological Transition announced on Sunday 22 November 2020 that COVID-19 was detected for the first time on a French mink farm in Eure-et-Loire.

"The culling of all 1,000 animals still present on the farm and the destruction of products from these animals" were ordered. On the four mink farms left in the country, one is not infected and testing is still underway in the other two", the results are expected during the week.

The results of the tests carried out on workers of the four sites were found to be negative. Reinforced surveillance has been put in place for the breeder concerned and his family, now "contact cases". Mink can in fact contract the disease, but also infect humans.
