Bookings are now open and early-bird registration ends 31 May.

If you are a veterinarian, veterinary nurse, animal welfare researcher, Masters or PhD student or animal charity worker/campaigner you can expand your repertoire of animal welfare knowledge by registering at CAWSEL courses by 31 May. They take place in Cambridge (UK) and are aimed at providing students a solid background in animal welfare science, ethics and law.

The courses:

  • Welfare concepts and assessment, and zoo animal welfare (6-8 September)
  • Law and companion animal and horse welfare (9-12 September)
  • Laboratory animal welfare and principles of animal ethics (14-16 September)
  • Farm animal welfare (17-18 September)

All courses are independent and you can attend as many as you choose.

For over two decades the courses have been educating people from around the world. Although in our digital age, courses increasingly are taught online and the students kept ever more remote from the teachers and other students, CAWSEL bucks the trend and continues to bring everyone together – enthusiastic students and teachers – in one real and beautiful place, Cambridge.
