Collaboration with local authorities brings ethical solution for Vietnamese pig colony in Tarragona

The Vietnamese pigs of Tarragona will be relocated to a sanctuary thanks to the ethical and responsible management agreement between the town hall and the ADAT and FAADA entities.

The acting mayor of Tarragona and deputy mayor of Animal Welfare, Carla Aguilar, together with Andrea Torres, FAADA biologist and wild animal technician, and Marta Reynalds, president of ADAT, explained yesterday the measures that will be put in place for the Management of the Vietnamese pig colony of the Muntanyeta Park, in Tarragona.

From FAADA, we thank from the outset, the municipal government of Tarragona has wanted to seek an ethical and responsible solution for Vietnamese pigs, as indicated in the same press conference by Deputy Mayor Carla Aguilar, "since we arrived at the municipal government, it has been a priority to look for an ethical solution for this colony of animals and we are articulating the new Department of Animal Welfare with the aim of making Tarragona an animal friendly city that takes care of their lives and defends their rights."
