Increasingly around the world, pets are treated as full members of the family.

In fact, millions of humans around the world are attached to their pets. They enjoy their company, walk with them, and even talk to them. It has been proven: attaching oneself to a domestic animal is beneficial to human health and even contributes to building the community.

Pets are more and more often included in family celebrations and they count in the eyes of all their members. This is particularly striking in single parent families, where the animal can be an important companion for children. Those surrounded by pets have higher rates of empathy and self-esteem than those who do not.

Seeing a doggie or kitty as a family member - not a possession - can make it less stressful to take care of. Spending time taking care of them increases our attachment, which reduces our stress.
