Argentina may face difficulties to export meat to the EU under the Hilton quotas

The EU could demand in greater detail the feeding of animals exclusively to grass, a point that was not being fulfilled.

After the quota of 29,500 tons of beef exports of the so-called Hilton quota to the European Union was completed in recent years, a sanitary procedure that producers must meet could put the business at risk again if it is not corrected to weather.

According to specialists in the livestock and meat business, who do not want to be identified, the problem began when last November the National Service of Agrifood Health and Quality (Senasa) ordered the re-registration of livestock establishments that provide finance for produce cuts intended for the Hilton quota.
