In Brittany, the Cooperl breeders cooperative has set up industrial and marketing techniques which make it possible to avoid castrating piglets.
In January 2020, the government decided to ban the castration of piglets, a practice that is usually carried out to avoid an unpleasant taste. In France, 10 million piglets are neutered per year. On the occasion of the Agricultural Show, RTL went to meet breeders who do not use this practice and carry out alternative methods.
