On May 3, the 5th International Animal Rights Conference will be organized by the animal welfare organization Loomus at the Salme Cultural Center in Tallinn.

Foreign and local speakers will give presentations at the conference. This year, the focus will be on changes in the relationship between humans and other animals.

“Our knowledge of the beings we share with our home planet is growing day by day. We no longer look at animals other than less valuable forms of life. This is how we have chosen change as the central keyword for this year's Animal Rights Conference, ”explained Kadri Aavik, project manager and associate professor at Tallinn University.

The conference will feature prominent foreign and local scientists and activists in their research or activities on human-animal relationships and new ways of interacting with animals. Speakers include Finnish philosopher Elisa Aaltola, Dutch scientist Floris van den Berg, philosopher Silver Rattasepp, family doctor Marta Velgan and others.
