On November 18, the French Senate definitively adopted a new animal protection bill “aimed at combating animal abuse and strengthening the link between animals and humans”. This success follows an agreement on the measures by a joint commission (composed of deputies and senators) on October 21, and an almost unanimous adoption at the National Assembly on November 16.

A joint commission (composed of deputies and senators) reached an agreement this Thursday, October 21st, on the bill which aims to strengthen the fight against animal abuse, opening the way to its rapid adoption.

Animal welfare and the future of breeding, a pertinent topic, was the subject of a conference organized by the LFDA, a Eurogroup for Animals member (La Fondation Droit Animal éthique & sciences). The conference took place on the 22nd of October at the Grand Amphithéâtre de la Sorbonne in Paris.
