Positive List: Ending Suffering for Animals in the Pet Trade

Organised by Eurogroup for Animals, AAP, The Greens/EFA and The Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats, this event will explore the problems associated with wild animals traded as pets and the results of recent investigations, as well as a feasible proposal for an EU positive list legal basis. 

An important new White Paper will be launched, as we explore and discuss recommendations for the Impact Assessment/ feasibility study, as well as bringing experts together from Member States with existing positive lists to highlight challenges and solutions in a panel discussion.

Phasing Out Animal Experiments - Options for a National Policy

Animal-free, human-based methods have developed rapidly over the last few years, yet around 5 million animals still suffer in German laboratories every year. Doctors against Animal Experiments and Menschen für Tierrechte will host this informative event with presentations explaining the situation in the USA, the Netherlands, and the European Union, and demonstrating the possibilities of phasing-out animal experiments.
