Senior
Press & Publications Officer
Your function:
Working closely with the
Director, you will be responsible for devising
and implementing Eurogroups communications
strategy, which includes managing and coordinating
its media relations, publications and website
to create maximum positive awareness of its brand,
policies and campaigns.
You devise and implement an effective strategy
for Eurogroups publications. This will include
producing copy, editing, proof-reading, commissioning,
managing budgets, coordinating production, dealing
with suppliers and liaising with consultants.
You devise and implement an effective strategy
for the website and to see to the day-to-day running
of the site, including updating the content.
You devise and implement an effective media
strategy for Eurogroup as a whole as well as for
individual campaigns and initiatives. This will
include writing press releases, dealing with Europewide
media enquiries, developing images, keeping staff
and member organisations up-todate, gathering
and monitoring media coverage, organising media
events, representing Eurogroup in media interviews.
You report directly to the Director and
have line management of the Information Officer.

Your profile:
You have a university or bachelor degree
in communication or are qualified by experience.
You have 5 years of experience as a press/PR
officer or as a news journalist.
You have 5 years practice of drafting,
proof-reading and editing copy and press releases
and 2 years experience of planning website direction
as well as writing and editing for the web.
You are experienced in production management
including planning, schedules, budgets and negotiation
of fees with graphic designers, picture agencies
and printers.
Devising and implementing communications
strategies, as well as sourcing and researching
images belong since a long time to your job responsibilities.
You understand the artwork to print process;
you are used to commissioning freelance contributors.
Not only do you have strong visual sense,
you also have proven editorial skills, a keen
news sense and excellent media contacts.
You have an interest and basic knowledge
of the EU
institutions.
You demonstrate excellent organisation
and negotiation skills.
You have excellent verbal and written (editing)
skills in English (mother tongue).
